So Sadie is starting Kindergarten this year and it's all day. Now, she's a picky eater and I have no idea what kind of stuff to give her for Lunch.

I would give her a good breakfast in the morning before going to school but she just won't east right after she gets up. so I'm trusting her to eat at school but I need to make sure she eats right at lunch at least.

Brenda, I'm in the same boat as you are.

Mackenzie starts school on the 30th and I have no idea what to make for her lunches. This kid would live off of pb&j if I let her.

Can you give her roll ups? LIke take some ham and cheese and roll it into rolls?

What about giving her a "selection." Kinda like those bento boxes? I have no clue obviously :hehe:

Our school sends home lunch menus for the month. I sit down with DS and we decide what days he'll eat school lunch and what days he wants a lunch from home. It helps some. Usually half the days he'll eat school lunch. We went shopping today for lunch stuff and I let DS pick out most of it. We debated a little, but we got it done. Mostly his will consist of a sandwich (pb&j, lunch meat, or BLT), fruit (or yogurt), a veggie, and a small sweet. And juice, of course.

First of all let me say that I think it's awesome that Sadie's Kindergarten is all day. I really wish we had that option out here. Secondly, I have a VERY picky eater (who also started Kindergarten this year) and since she's allergic to peanuts and walnuts, we are limited in what we feed her. She likes Nutella sandwiches so we go with that a lot. She doesn't like regular sandwiches (with meat). I usually feed her fruit, yogurt, baked chips/pretzels, and juice/water. Good luck finding something your little one likes.

Randy eats PB all 3 days he goes to daycare. A sandwich or I use a wrap and make a PB&J wrap. Sometimes he eats PB and banana or apple.
Sometimes he'll eat cold chicken nuggets.

Then usually a piece of fruit or cheese or something like that.

DS is a VERY picky eater...They've already told me at school that he barely touches his lunch. I pack him a turkey and cheese sandwich and pretzels or goldfish everyday. With a SunnyD to drink. That's about all I fix him at home and he picks at it but that's about all.
