:hi:

I'm feeling really good! I actually can't believe how normal I feel this time around. I need to get my birth story up tonight.

Connor is doing great! He's nursing like a champ! Breastfeeding was my biggest worry this time around, and I am so happy with how seamless things have been. We haven't had any issues (knock on wood!) and he's been nursing exclusively since day one. He went back to the doctor today for a weight check and he gained 10 ounces in 7 days! Not bad, right?

Aiden has been very lovey towards his little brother...sometimes a little TOO lovey. :hehe: His behavior has really digressed in the last week, but I know that was to be expected. He wants his pacifier all the time now since he sees Connor with one sometimes. Oh, and he has already figured out that screaming is really helpful when Connor is in the room.

I'll update more later...Aiden is shouting in his room! :hehe:

Yay!!! :hula: I'm so glad to hear things are going well! The same thing happened with Thomas. Nursing was brutal with Ben and with Thomas it was the complete opposite. No issues, no pain, nothing from the time we started. It was a little weird. :hehe:

I can't wait to read your birth story! :support:

I've heard from so many women that nursing the 2nd time around was so much easier because they kind of knew what they were doing. I hope that's the case with us- lord knows I don't wanna have to go through the whole nipple shield fiasco again!

I think experience makes a HUGE difference. And hindsight. I knew what went wrong, when it went wrong and what to do when/if it happened again. Fortunately I had no problems (like none at all) other than a crazy let-down but I knew about it and was prepared for it. :twothumbs:

I had a really hard time nursing Aiden. He refused to latch from the beginning, so I pumped for 2 months. It was emotionally/physically draining so I gave up.

This time around I went into it with the "I will do this no matter what" point of view. I knew what to expect, and I knew what to do if I was faced with another scenario like with Aiden. Fortunately, Connor latched on like a champ from the get-go. We only had a rough period right after his circ, but patience and persistence helped with that.

I am so elated that things are going so well this time. I think it helps that I feel a little more relaxed this time around.
