Well Matthew now weighs 12.8 lbs! Up from 8.2 lbs at birth :hula: He's a chunk for sure :)

Of course I lied the whole time to the doctor:

Where is he sleeping? Bassinet (LIAR--In our bed!!)
Does he take Vitamin D? Of course!
How much does he eat? oh 4oz every 3 hours! (all.the.damn.time)

Yes. I was a big fat liar. Last time I got in trouble for co-sleeping. Well lookie, I'd love to have my bed back but it's the only way we get a decent amount of sleep. So :p

As for the vitamin D it makes him so mad and irritable. I think it upsets his tummy so I just lie and say he gets it. I put him in the sun.

And last time I got in trouble for "overfeeding" him. He told me that I should try to hold him out to every 3 hours instead of feeding on demand :madwoman:

My husband thinks I'm overreacting but he pisses me off sometimes. My husband likes him a lot and I did too until he told me about feeding him.

Anyway back to appointment: He's such a show off! He held is little head up and stood up and looked around and for me all I get is whining  We didn't do the 2 month shots today (we go back Tuesday) because we want to make sure I don't have the flu and if he gets a fever we won't know if it's from the flu or the dtap. So I go Tuesday by myself :(. The doc didn't looked too thrilled about waiting a few days...you'd think he had to mix the syringes himself.

So that's it! Oh and the doctor totally sounds like Mr. Mackey from Southpark

Hahaha! Well, sounds like that dude is clueless! My doc has never once asked me where Cohen sleeps I don't think. But all in all, sounds like a great appt! Way to grow, Matthew!!:hula::hula:

Sounds like a great appt. You need to do what works for you and your family. Forget the dr! :support:

I'm thinking of switching to another doctor in the practice for his 4 month check up. Again, DH thinks I'm overreacting but whatever.

Sick kids shouldn't get shots. My doctor always asked if he'd been sick before giving Ben his shots.

Anyway, it sounds like your little guy is doing well! Don't listen to the dr. about overfeeding him. Babies can't get too much breast milk (not sure about formula). They eat until they're full and then stop. :twothumbs:

Well that's what my MIL told me. She said any normal doctor wouldn't give them their shots if they know that they might be sick.

Ugh. This pisses me off because I was starting to like him...

It sounds like he is doing great! and wth with overfeeding?? Lily is strictly breastfed on demand, and she weighed 12 pounds at her 2 month appt. (up from 7 lbs 3 oz at birth). So boo on him. And yeah, I don't think I was ever asked for either kid where they're sleeping- how well maybe, but not where.

Sounds like he's growing great. All doctors have their own opinions and you're right to listen but form your own and follow your instincts. Good job mama! ;) Talon breastfed on demand also at that age and gained almost lb a week. After about 4 or 5 months the weight gain slowed and he leveled off.

I'll just continue to lie  I hate it though. I love having a doc I could confide in. I guess I should start looking, eh?

Having a good doctor makes all the difference in the world. It makes your job easier when you feel like they are on your side and treat you as the expert rather than the idiot know nothing. I switched docs about 2 months ago and so glad I did. ;) ....so, yes..start looking! ;)
