and yesterday I was watching Simply Ming (some cooking show) and he was so entranced by the food!

I used to beat myself up for letting Annie watch TV, too. Always something I SWORE up and down that I would never do. However, with the kid-friendly programming (ie. Noggin, Sprout) they have today, moderate TV-watching is actually a GOOD thing! Annie has learned a good bit from watching Noggin. She speaks lovely Spanish (from Dora), knows all about animals (from Diego and The Wonder Pets), and more!

I don't condone using TV as a babysitter, by any means...but it's a portal to the outside world. I'm all for it!

Yeah, I'm with Carrie on this one. Obviously it should be in moderation, and not a complete babysitter, but sometimes you just need the break! And, with all the learning shows out there, a half hour here and there is not going to rot them.

Too funny that he likes the food!!

Obviously Averie watches a little television because the older kids certainly don't watch Wonder Pets. If I have to leave the room and she isn't much into her toys I will turn on Noggin or Sprout for her. She even has a couple Baby Einstein DVDs. She may watch 15-20 minutes of television in a week.

Charlie and I watch TV in the morning and sometimes the evening. Our TV is always on usually to some kid show and he plays around it. Only when we're on the couch cuddling does he pay attention. Although, sometimes he does zone out to it and I have to snap him back to his toys. :hehe:

He likes to watch DH play Xbox :hehe: I think it's the fast colors and stuff but he completely zones out. Hey, I might have to play during the day :lol:

Lily likes the internet! :hehe: I was sitting with her in my lap with the laptop on the couch the other day and she was captivated, lol. I better watch I'll be giving her my internet addiction!!
