So I think one of my stitches popped. It just started to burn in one spot down there, and when I dab the spot with TP it's obviously bleeding.

I called the on-call midwife yesterday, and do you know what her only solution was? Bed rest until my 6 week appointment. uh, I have a newborn and a toddler who I'm alone with for 13 hours a day.

Yeah right!

Just tell Aiden to take care of his brother...I mean it's not that hard!

They won't see you earlier?! That's crazy.

You don't want to end up needing to be cauterized. Trust me on that one.

Your experience is what made me really worried in the first place...I don't wanna be cauterized!!

She said there was nothing they could do now even if the stitches did pop...she said no re-stitching?

She also said to do sitz baths 4-5 times a day, but I forgot the damn thing at the hospital!

You can buy a sitz bath at Rite Aid or CVS. DH bought me one a few days after I had John. Maybe DH can pick one up for you? I really hope that it will heal on its own for you! :hugs:

That is nuts that they won't see you, or restitch it! You will have to be real careful and keep it clean down there so it doesn't get infected. I had stitches all the way to my bottom with Eli, they are no fun! But I do remember my Dr. telling me if something happens with them down there to call and they would get me right in... The sitz bath really works! And they may start itching and I used vagisel cream to help that.
