Where did the real Sesame Street go?!

DH put on Sesame Street this morning and it was not the old one. No way. What the heck did they do to it? It's terrible!!!!!!!!!!!!

We've put it on a few times and it just seems to be really awful now. And they changed the song! How sad.

It's not what it used to be for sure.

But at the same time, a friend of mine got all riled up that an Indian woman on Sesame Street had a nose piercing. An Indian woman! Not a punk rocker. Not a freaky goth chick. She was all "I don't want my daughter seeing someone like that as a role model on an educational show!"

I love Sesame Street. The only thing that ticks me off is that they don't show all the old segments. They do show quite a few of them but not enough. If you want to see the old clips go to the website. Most of them are there. :twothumbs:

Have you seen Thomas the Train or Bob the Builder lately? They're completely CGI now. Thomas's mouth moves!

I only know the new Thomas because it's on Youtube and Matthew loves the song. (we're 2 we're 4 we're 6 we're 8...)

We could have a whole debate on Sesame Street characters. :hehe: I've found that people definitely have their personal preferences. ;)

Awesome! The first time I saw that one I barked a cackle of laughter and scared Ben. :blush:

I fixed the link, btw. Youtube made a change a while back and the full URL doesn't work, only the characters at the end of the URL are needed. It's annoying. I don't know why they changed it. :rolleyes:

I agree. The "new" Sesame Street weirds me out. We bought this and Emmelia loves it. (DH and I watch it too)
