I woke up this morning to go to work and looked at my son's crib, and found him on his tummy and his face was facing the mattress. He seemed to have moved so much that even got his hand out of the crib hanging. It looked like those pics of babies who went to heaven from SIDS. I am still crying from scare. I jumped from bed, and held him and he started crying as he woke up. I hugged him so much, I swear, I wanted to cry forever :cry3:
Just wanted to share my horrible morning experience. :cry3:
Have you tried a sleep positioner? That might help him to not wiggle around as much. I put Matt in it and he can't get on his belly. Only his side and back.
 Sorry you had a scare!

Aw, I'm sorry it scared you like that! My LO started turning over around 4 or 5 months old, too, and sleeping on his tummy. There wasn't a darn thing I could do about it! He had used a crib positioner when he was younger, but then I heard that they may not be very safe either. Who knows what the right answer is. I just know that it scared me for several days, too, and I checked in on him every 5 minutes.

That is scary. Once they start moving around themselves there's not much you can do. Just know that he's old enough that if he can't breath or something he'll move. Conner will always have his face tucked under a blanket or something. Freaks me out sometimes too!

I hate when they scare us!!
Lily has started putting herself on her tummy all.the.time. At first, I kept rolling her back over, but she would just do i t again later. When they have good head control and can pick their own positions, it should be fine.
Also, Lily is a mover too-- we ordered one of those mesh breathable bumpers for her crib so we can leave her in it at night. When I put her in for naps, she sometimes gets stuck. I hear her right away, but it freaks me out. So, a breathable bumper it is!!

It scared me to when Eli started sleeping on his tummy. I would check on him a million times a night.
What a way to start the day!
