I'm having an "off" day and I'm slowly losing my mind. Connor is proving that he's much like his older brother and is a light sleeper. He will NOT sleep anywhere. Like the kid hardly sleeps at all. He's a newborn, shouldn't he be sleeping more?
I've tried on his tummy, on his back, on his side, in the pack n play, in a swing, in a bouncy seat....I can nurse him to sleep, but he wakes up.
I know I could put him in the Moby, but even that is something I just can't do with a toddler running around. Aiden has needs too, ya know?
I feel guilty because I'm so freaking frustrated.
Any advice?

This is what i do with Evan. I put him in his bed and turn on a really loud fan. That way it blocks out any noise. He has slept so much better since i have done that. I hope that helps..

:hugs: I had two non-sleeping newborns, but John is definitely worse than Duncan. He literally will only take little cat naps, at least for me. The swing was my sanity saver. I ended up sleeping on the couch with him in the swing all night just to get a few hours solid sleep. I'm sorry the swing isn't working. As a newborn, John would sleep in the baby carrier, so that's a good idea to try like you said.
Good luck!!!

Brendon's a good sleeper but Alice never has been a very heavy one. A loud fan, like Holly suggested, has been a lifesaver.

With Sam, the swing didn't work, either. He only slept in the sling or in my arms, and only if I was bouncing or walking or jiggling him, until about 6 months of age.
Every now and then, I could get him to sleep in one of those bouncy seats on the heavy vibrate. Ours laid him back far enough that I didn't worry about his neck bending so far forward that he couldn't breath properly.

Jasia never slept. never. In the beginning it was frustrating then I broke and hired a once-a-week nanny to give me a break.
Good luck.
Matt still needs the fan and his lullaby cd. LMK if you want a copy. It's been a lifesaver to say the least!!

Isabella woudl only sleep in the moby or in our arms at that age. I'm not sure why you couldn't put him in the moby and still play with Aiden? I did everything with Isabella in th emoby. Maybe less horsing around but otherwise....?

I hope you can find something that works. At this point I'd go with the Moby (or another carrier) until your little man decides he's going to sleep. The swing was our lifesaver. I think I would have slit my wrists if Thomas hadn't slept in it. Oh, and both boys have fans in their rooms. White noise definitely helps. :twothumbs:
Hang in there!!! :support:

Tried the Moby today and I just don't feel comfortable with him in it. Aiden is a very active toddler...like crazy insane active.
I want a carrier that's more secure...would the Ergo be good for that?

I used the No Cry Sleep Solution. But, honestly, I think at that age there's not much you can do but bend to their needs IMO. I usually had William in my arms for the first few months. He was a terrible sleeper too. I also used a big body pillow that I would lay him in because it wasn't overly cushy and I knew he couldn't roll out. I would put him in that and if he started to wake up I would quickly pat his rear and shhsh him back to sleep.
