The daycare insisted that I start putting Bri in shoes for school.
I much prefer her to just learn how to walk in socks. So, in protest, I send her in the Squeaker Sneakers. The morning teacher said yesterday "Oh, the squeaky shoes again."

HAHAHAHAHA. I hope it annoys them so much they take them off and let her walk around in her socks!

I had a love hate relationship with squeakers! They were cute.....for a while! :D

They're cute because I usually don't have to listen to them.
If we are home, she is barefoot. And in public, I usually can't hear them too much.
They do amuse the old people at the eye doctor. And my FIL loves them.

Are they the ones that sound like a dog's squeaker toy every time the kid takes a step?

The daycare probably insists on shoes because having the kids barefoot is a liability. You never know what could be on the floor the kids could accidentally step on.

Yes, those are the shoes.
I know it is probably a liability for them. But they shouldn't have anything on the floors because my kids are playing on those floors.

Can she wear Robeez type shoes? They are closer to socks. I know some daycares allow those. They also sell those socks with a shoe sole on the bottom...I forget what they are called though.

She has the Robeez too and she does wear them sometimes.
But the Squeaker Sneakers serve me when I am in a passive agressive mood.

When Shelby was learning to walk, I sent her to daycare in soft soled shoes. She had a few pairs, but not the Robeez brand. We just bought the cheapie shoes. :hehe:

Oh those moccasins from hanna andersson! Those are awesome! I have a cute pair :)

I bet they feel like those CVS people that stand behind the register with the singing hamster :hehe:

It's not about what's on the floors. It's about something happening to the foot, like being stepped on, having something dropped on, etc. I hate hate HATE shoes...but I have to wear something other than flip flops to work. It was hard enough getting Aidan into something other than sandals.

We never had squeakers :hehe: Just the lightup ones...
