View Full Version : I'm tired of pumping (mini vent)

Yes. Very tired.

I'm tired of hooking myself up at 3 am. I wish I could just roll over and pop a boob in the mouth and go back to sleep. Nope. I get to hook up, sit here for 10 min on the pump. 10 min off the pump. And 10 min back on the pump. Squeeze my breasts until nothing comes out or close to it. Then clean everything up and start again 3 hours later. I don't mind it during the day but in mid morning it sucks!!

Now I have freaking clogged ducts and it sucks. I had to have my nipples squeezed by someone else yesterday while I pumped the other side...it was uh, awkward to say the least but it's better than having that damn Physical therapist come out.

BFing is supposed to be easy(lift, attach, eat, done.)...why do I get the jacked up side of it? :sigh:

I'm so sorry girl. That's really just not fair. I wish I could come over and lend you my boobs for a night or two. :hehe: Hopefully you can get him on the nip soon. Xoxox

I saw her yesterday and it was determined my left is a bit clogged because they aren't spraying and she can feel the thickness around the nipple (I guess that's the problem with using the big flanges so I'm back to the little ones and they feel so much better!) I also have to start genitian violet...yay :rolleyes:

Next time she comes is when I am healed 100% so we can latch on the little guy. Hopefully soon. :fingerscrossed:

((huge hugs)) I know pumping sucks I had to do it when I had Peyton cause she just wouldn't latch properly and it hurt like crazy.

I should really just be grateful I have enough milk to feed my son...trying really really hard to look on the bright side of things. (and possibly helping another mom that is in need of milk)

I jacked up my nipples again. I have flat nipples with nothing to cling to and I should have probably used a shield when I was nursing in the hospital but I didn't. Honestly, not even the LC can figure me out.

Ugh, memories. I really wish things had gone easier for you this time around. Do you have any sort of game plan or just seeing how long you can make it EPing?

Game plan is to do it a year no matter what--EPing or BFing. It gets easier, I know it does...it's just those first few weeks I'm so scared of losing supply so I try to do it as often as possible.

And I'm looking into donating so I know it will be worth it in the end.

You're so sweet for thinking about other Mama's who need that milk. Donating breastmilk is such an amazing experience.

Can you freeze it? I bf dylan for 9-10 mo. and then he ad milk for up to when he turned 1

I am freezing it. I think I have over 40oz frozen so far.
