Can you comfortably wear a newborn around the house? I don't feel like my wrap is secure enough for the daily hustle and bustle. I need something Connor will feel secure enough to sleep in.

I just posted a similar question about this. When I put James in it I felt comfortable walking around with him. Of course I'd still put my hand on his head if I was bending and such but you might want to try it since he'll be all snuggly on you :))

I'll be honest, I had the newborm insert and never did really like it or get the hang of it. I used the Moby those first 3 months or so. I love my Ergo now that I don't have to use the insert.

I was able to wear Thomas in the Ergo but it was a little awkward to do much with him in front of me all the time. Definitely easier than carrying him but still awkward.
Maybe a sling would work better because he'd be tighter to your body. I never used a sling or wrap so I'm not sure.

I felt the same way. I have a sling, and John hated it until the past couple weeks. I used the Ergo with the infant insert and it worked great except it was hot as hell and not so useful for the summer outdoors.

Hm, ok. Well maybe I need to get a "real" Moby. The wrap I have is similar but made by a different company. It doesn't have any Spandex or stretch to it, so it loses its shape quickly. No matter how tight I tie it, it still loosens too much.

Do you have an Ergo? How much is a Moby? I just wouldn't want you to spend a bunch of money for something that doesn't work, kwim? I think a real Moby might make a difference because of the spandex. An Ergo can be used for quite a while, like until the age of 2 or 3 depending on their weight and what you can carry.

I used a Moby for John for the first 3 months and then went to the Ergo. I LOVED the Moby when he was itty bitty.
