What type of grocery bags to you us? Paper, plastic or do you bring your own reusable bags?
-------------------------------------------
I am a big convert to the reusable bags - I have several totes that I bring (including two I got a Disneyland :p). They hold a lot of groceries (and I hate making several trips to unload the car).

The grocery store we shop at (and their affiliates) charges 5 cents a bag (plastic) so we've been using reusable bags and bins for a while now. Both the bags and the bins are used all time for a slew of things other than groceries too (the bins are great for Christmas gifts). :twothumbs:

We use the plastic that they provide for free. But I do save the plastic bags and use them for other things..

I have wanted to use cloth bags, but we get plastic because we use them for other things such a cleaning the littler boxes and poopy diapers!

The bags the grocery store sells are $.99, larger bags are $1.99 and the bins are $3.99. We bought 2 bins and a bunch of bags a while ago and so far only one bag is starting to wear out. The bins are darn near indestructible. We have similar bags that we got at my SMIL's company picnic last year. Gotta love freebies. :twothumbs:

We really should switch to reusable, but right now we use plastic. We do reuse them but still..
Plastic...and we do reuse them also, but maybe we'll make the switch to the reusable. ;)

We use Plastic. But I always use them again. I need the bags for cleaning the hamster cages and for liners in the bathroom trash cans ect. I do take some of them that I did not use to the store the next week and re use them.

Plastic if we're at the regular grocery store. Paper for Trader Joe's. I was thinking of getting the cloth, but the problem is I use all of the bags we get and if I didn't get them then what would line my trash cans?? :hehe:

I found great huge reusable bags at Aldi's. I take them to Wegmans too. I hate making many trips from the car to the house so I just have them pack the huge ones full.
Reusable when I can remember :eyeroll: They hold so much and don't break!
Dh gets mad when I don't get the plastic because we use the plastic for our trash cans BUT I heard they are going to start charging so F that

We use the rresuables. They fit WAY more grocerys and fit so nice in the back of the truck. Plus they're hand for other stuff to. I started carrying aroound a smaller one in my purse for incidentals.
I made the change after hearing about the trees and the plastics.

I started getting some of the reusable ones.. then I forget them when I go to the stores. So I end up with plastic ones and give those to the bookstore that I love.. they always need them.

I use plastic. We reuse them. I guess I should make the switch to reusable ones since each trip to the store nets me at least 20 plastic bags. My last grocery shopping trip cost me over $600 and only lasted about 3 weeks. I hate to see what my grocery bills will be when we have more hungry teenagers in the house!
