Subway! It's the only place that I can get a veggie sub and I love the southwest sauce.

I had to vote "other" because it's a local chain called Beef A Roo. It's sort of like an Arby's but their cheese fries are awesome. They also fry a mean pork tenderloin.

It varies for me, but overall McD's is usually the preference.

Mmmm.
Culver's. We usually order Kid's Meals for all of us because they come with a free scoop of frozen custard. So yummy. They're good portion sizes too and if I want, I can order mashed potatoes instead of fries.

I was wondering if you'd been there when you lived in NC. They had the best milkshakes. Their shakes are so good we went out in a snowstorm to get some!

Oh tell me about it! I had to pass one every time I left the house or came home, it was 2 blocks away, so it was a challenge not to have a shake every day. SOOO good.

I had the same problem when I left work each day. There was one down the street from my school. It was my first year teaching and my school was horrible so I really had to talk myself down from a milkshake binge everyday! Before we moved to Amsterdam, we took a road trip to NY so we could see friends/family along the way before we left. I made sure we hit up a Cook Out in NC before we left the country.

I don't really eat anywhere else otherwise...I always used to get sick eating fast food so I just gave up trying.

In-n-Out is another one of my favorites. I love how they have a "secret menu".
I was eating at the one on Sunset Boulevard one night and Bobby Brown came in with an entourage. He ate and left all of his trash on the table. I happened to be throwing away my garbage at the same time as the employee who got stuck cleaning up after Bobby Brown. She was rightfully complaining about what a mess he left and how rude it was. I couldn't help myself, I had to say "Well, its his prerogative" .

Oh by far Chipotle. I love me a burrito the size of a newborn baby :hehe:
Close runner up is Taco Bell. Gawd if I knew it wouldn't cause me to spend the next 3 days in the hospital sick as a dog I'd get it right now.
Next in line would be Pita Pit, Sonic (though I've only been a few times, the nearest one is totally out of the way) and the once a yearly craving for a big mac.

I wish they'd bring them to the east coast. I hear they're opening one in Texas soon.

Omg In'N'Out. When my DH and I were flying to Hawaii for our honeymoon my BFF from HS picked us up during our lay over so she could take us to In'N'Out. That's how you know she's a real friend :hehe:

Is Pita Pit a national chain? I've never heard of it.
I also love Taco Bell. I miss their chalupas with baja sauce.

When we lived in England, the only US food we could get was Taco Bell & Burger King because that's what they have on base. We actually got SO burned out on them that we didn't eat at either for like 2 years after we moved back here.

This Taco Bell you speak of in England, where is it and can civilians eat there? :) There are no Taco Bells in the Netherlands. We have McDonalds, Burger King, and the very Dutch Febo.

Pretty much any military base is going to have a BK and Taco Bell, I know the ones in Germany do. So you just need to find a friend stationed at Ramstein or wherever to take you there :)

That's how I was with Chili's. We had one at Kadena and I still have not eaten there and it's been over 2 yrs since we've been back. :hehe:
I guess if I have to choose fast food I would choose Sonic. I think their Sonic burgers are pretty good and I like that they have real ice cream.

My favorite is the chicken ceasar. DH likes the Dagwood. Right now the "local" is really good- it's a chicken ceasar but the chicken is marinated in some sort of chipotle sauce. Mmmmmmmmm.
So I get all veggies, my ceasar sauce, chedder or feta cheese. SO good.

Sonic!!!
I used to see commercials for Sonic on TV when I lived in CA and always thought...yum that looks good. We didn't have one within 100 miles of us when I lived there. My first day in AZ, I had Lily's Aunt take me to Sonic because my (then) Preggo butt wanted some tater tots. lol
Now, it's torture because the best thing about Sonic is the soda ( I don't know why, but Dr. Pepper tastes better when its got their ice in it)...and I can't have soda anymore because of my Kidneys. Makes me want to cry everytime we drive past it.

I like Sonic drinks, McDonalds fries, and Wendy's burgers. We don't have a Wendy's here, but we have Andy's which is similar. I have been known to go to two or three different places for a meal. Haha.

I would do the same thing especially the night before starting a diet. I would get my burger and shake from Checkers (with grilled onions) and fries from McDonalds. I hadn't had Checkers in years until my last year in Florida and it wasn't nearly as good as I remember it being when they first started showing up in Florida.
