We all know that we are mothers, wives, and women...but we are more than the sum of the parts. I think it would be a good idea to get to know one another in a more intimate level. Share what you are willing...be detailed, or just touch on the major points. Let us know who you are!!
I will start:
My name is Carrie. It's actually Carolyn, but I prefer Carrie. I was born in Georgia, and have lived here all my life. I have one sibling, Abbe, who is a registered nurse and battling cervical cancer. She is 28.
I'm a wee bit eccentric (okay, a LOT eccentric). I've had every hair color under the sun, pierced anything that would stand still long enough, and dig the club scene. Needless to say, I've changed a lot. I now have brown hair, piercings only in my ears, and traded clubs for playgrounds.
I love people...I love to talk. I would talk to a tree if it stood still long enough (Ashley can attest to this). My college degree in is radiology, but now, I have a small at-home graphic design business. I miss medicine, but Annie is more important.
My favorite color is purple. I love tea more than life itself. I am very open-minded, and can't quite understand people who are the opposite. I am addicted to bubble baths, and collect candles. I have never been outside the U.S., but hope to remedy that sooner than later. I am scared to death of heights and sharks. I can burp the alphabet and peel a banana with my toes (no lie!). I love nature, and have always been proud of my ability to start a fire with two sticks and some dryer lint. I love a good pedicure, a good martini, and good friends.
My husband and I have been married for nearly five years. He's an aerospace engineer (he used to work with Ashley's husband), hails from New Jersey, and is missing his sensitivity chip...but I love him anyways. I am a proud mama to Annie and Pepper (our furchild, a little grey kitty) and two gay guinea pigs, and had always envisioned adding to my brood, but with my DNA results being so bad, I don't think we will have any more biological children.
My best friend is my Mother, I love trashy novels and romantic comedies, and would go bankrupt if I lived close to an Ulta or Sephora. I have many medical problems...the foremost being Lupus and Rheumatoid arthritis, but I don't let them define me. I'm a fighter...to the core.
I hope this lets you a little more into my head...and I can't wait to hear more about all you great gals!!!
