View Full Version : Relief!
Last night I soaked my nipples in vinegar. Ahhh sweet relief. I swear that worked better than the Gentian violet.
Day 3 (or 4?) and I am sick of purple nipples so I stopped that yesterday morning. Now just 20something more days of Diflucan.
Here's a nice website I found on thrush in case someone else needs it (hope not.)Tips.tricks and all that jazz! http://www.breastfeeding-basics.com/html/candida.shtml

THANK YOU for the site. I think we're getting it back already and since they only really treated Tori I would like to be rid of it once and for all!

Did they give you diflucan? That seems to be the only thing to really kill yeast for me from the inside. It sucks but it works. I am on 3 weeks worth

Thrush sucks. I think I spent most of the time I got to BF Brendon battling it. Glad you found something that provided some relief, even if temporary!

Nope but I have my 6 week PP checkup tomorrow so I am going to ask MY doctor. The pedi treated Tori with diflucan and told me to use Lotrimin. That worked until Tori was done with the antibiotics now it appears to be coming back and my nipples are getting sensitive so I am giving her bottles today (total PITA to pump, yes, I am THAT lazy :hehe: ).
Oh god! The LC said since it's so hard to treat ductal thrush you need a long time on diflucan. Hope they prescribe it and if they try to give you a days worth tell them it won't work!

Oh, awesome! I'll have to try that (or not. I mean, I'm not wishing it on myself or anything). :hehe:
Diflucan rocks, BTW!
