So mines come to an end...and it's OK.
I still pump but can only ever get 2.5 oz total (1 oz per breast) when pumping even every 2 hours!
Sophia is now getting 1 oz breastmilk and 2oz formula per feeding and shes is thriving; we've already seen her weight go up as opposed to going down (which it was and it was scaring me)....
While I wish I could have produced more for her, I know she wasn't thriving, so this is the best way. Bonus, daddy can take a night or two.;)

I'm sorry to hear it didn't work out. I totally admire your acceptance of it. It has taken me two months to accept that Gabe won't breastfeed and it was pretty devastating for me. In the past week or so, I've come to terms with it and like you say, he's thriving, happy and healthy. What more can we ask for? :)
Oh and having Daddy take a turn or two is pretty amazing! So is being able to have a glass of wine again. :) (It helps looking at the bright side!)

It's hard when you hit that wall where you have to make a decision like that, but you're doing what's best for you guys right now, which is awesome. And you DID at least try, and what you did give to her is still incredible.

You should be very proud of what you have been able to give her. Any amount at all is definitely better than nothing. Great job Mama! She's healthy and happy and that's all that matters!
And Cathy, please don't let this discourage you. One of my best friends had a ton of trouble with her first who hadn't regained all of his birth weight back at a month old. She went on to nurse her second with absolutely no issues and is still nursing her at 14 months. :hugs:
