Tell me what's on your menu for the holiday weekend?

I am making lasagna Friday night and homemade gnocchi on Saturday. I am also going to attempt to make tiramisu for the first time (if anyone has a tried and true recipe, I'd love to take a look at it). I'll also make garlic bread and some salad. Not sure what we're going to have with the gnocci yet. I could also kill for some homemade sugar cookies and chocolate chip cookies but I don't have a proper oven. Last time I tried baking a cake after 2 hours the outside was burnt and the middle was still completely liquid!

On our Christmas Eve we order pizza :hehe:

Then Christmas Day I'm going to try Candice's crock pot ham and I'll add some green beans. Then I'll make mashed sweet potatoes, and corn casserole. :)

Homemad Gnoochi? Like you're making it homemade? That sounds so so yummy. I haven't had really good homemade gnoochi since I left Boston. I even tried to make it myself.

I usually try and do seafood for Christmas but since we're moving straight away We're having Turkey with the fixin's. We got a Harry and David turkey from Dh's company so easy peasy!

Christmas Eve I'm making stuffed shells, Cesar salad, and homemade garlic bread.

We are going to my aunt's house on Christmas. She makes beef tenderloin, ham, potatoes, and some other fixins. I'm bringing homemade bomb diggity Mac n Cheese. :hehe:

Reading this thread makes me so hungry. My family is actually doing all the cooking so I will be doing none.

I'll be enjoying tomato gravy with rice, chicken and dumplings, gumbo, and a few other things that I'm unaware of right now. Mmmmm. Come on Friday when the festivities start!

Yep! I made it for the first time on Fathers Day for my husband. His Italian grandmother used to make it every time he went to visit her in Rome.

Christmas Eve we're having dinner at my FIL's with my SMIL's family (they're German and do Christmas celebrations on Christmas Eve), Christmas day we're at my brother's with my family and on Boxing Day we're at my MIL's for dinner. No cooking for me! :twothumbs:

We host xmas eve. Dhs family tradition is nachoes so that's what we do (this year there will be 13 of us). Growing up in my family we always did chinese food.

Xmas day will be at the il's... she always does beef tenderloin.

If my family doesn't get a collective cranio rectal extraction I will be eating room service in some swanky hotel while I run away from home. If said extraction actually occurs then MAYBE I will scrape something together but nothing fancy. We take Christmas Eve and Christmas day off (so to speak). Probably some spaghetti with homemade meatballs.
