Zoey and I went to the store yesterday to grab some potatoes and the cashier asked how old she was. I told her and she said "Seriously? If you didn't have a newborn with you I wouldn't believe you just had a baby 4 days ago". That was pretty awesome :hehe:

Made me curious so I weighed myself this morning, I'm only 9 pounds away from my pre-preg weight and I'm only 5 days out :hula:. I think my total weight gain at the end was 29 or 30 pounds depending on the scale. I did a little happy dance this morning, obviously :p

Suuuh- weet!

And I'm glad because when I started to read this post, I thought it might be one of those "shame on you for having a newborn outside the house when she's less than (fill in the blank) days/weeks/months old." But I guess that's just MY luck. :hehe:

Hah, she did say something about how when she had her son she didn't want to leave the house for weeks. I told her I have two toddlers at home, from time to time leaving the house with the newborn is somewhat appealing :hehe:.

That is awesome! I know I won't be that lucky. :hehe: It took me almost a year to lose the baby weight from Shelby, mostly because I lost all my muscle mass from being on bedrest, so I don't see it going any differently this time.

That is awesome that you can be out and about 4 days after giving birth! I'm impressed. I think it was at least a week before I could even sit comfortably. :hehe:

I feel you on that, though! With Brendon I was totally wrecked down there, took a few weeks to feel somewhat normal. But this time I don't feel like I even gave birth. Very lucky since this time I don't have Mike home for two weeks while I recover. It would suck to deal with all this while feeling like my crotch might fall off

Yeah, I can't imagine trying to do that on my own, with the experience I had the first time. I really hope that it isn't as rough with this pregnancy. It was almost two months before I felt somewhat normal again.

Laura, did you get an episiotomy? With Matthew I had one and I didn't feel normal until 3 months PP. There wasn't pain or anything but it just didn't feel right, kwim?
