Thyroid questions

For those of you who have been diagnosed with thyroid issues, can you answer some questions for me?

The midwife tested my levels at my 6 week post partum visit, and she said they were normal. However, over the last few months I've had increasing joint pain and stiffness along with freezing cold hands and feet. The cold hands and feet are odd to me considering I am not a thin person. Sounds dumb, I know, but being overweight has always made me warmer than most people. The joint pain is most likely due to the fact that I'm carrying around 30 pounds of extra weight, but I was around this weight after Aiden and I never experienced pain like this.

Could this be related to thyroid? My mom's thyroid died after she had me, so I feel like I'm on the watch for that to happen.

My levels came back normal too but they say it's wise to get an U/S done and all that jazz. I would make an appt with a endocrinologist just for safety.

I wish I could say yes, but I get the cold hands/feet and the stiffness in my hands and feet (usually first thing in the morning). My levels came back normal too even though I have cysts and goiters on mine.
