View Full Version : Losing my hair
:gah:
I never had this problem PP with Matthew but my hair is falling out in clumps. I can run my fingers through my rats nest and have a good 20 strands if not more. Forget about the shower. I might be able to pull it all together and make a little wig for James

I didn't have it PP with Cash but when I night weaned him, OMG! It fell out by the handful. It's doing it NOW with Daisy too. The good news it, it stops after a month or so and grows back to normal thickness, at least it did for me.

I had BAD hair loss with J :( It's still thin and I used to have super thick hair! It's just now filling back in around my temple area. I told DH I'm scared this pregnancy might make me go bald :hehe:

OH God don't tell me that!
Everyone keeps telling me to take vitamins. DUDE! Vitamins aren't going to help. (or will they?!)

I get that way too. With Averie it was pretty bad and with Tori it's been even worse. I sure had nice hair when I was pregnant though, it got nice and thick. All good things must end :hehe:

Lol everyone's different, I don't think it would hurt anything to try vitamins ;)

My shower drain clogs every other day. It's pretty bad!

I'm not looking forward to that stage. I have super thick hair, and I lose a lot of hair anyway, and when I had the PP hair loss with Shelby, I would lose handfuls every time I washed my hair. I had to buy one of those drain strainers, because I'd clog the shower drain every time I took a shower. Ick!

I had it REALLY BAD the 2nd time! I think it started around 3-4 months and finally stopped around 8 months post-partum. If it helps to think of it this way, you barely lose any while pregnant, so it's making up for lost time, so to speak.
Oh yeah, we bought one of those drain things. It's amazing all the hair it catches!
Sarah, that's a positive way of looking at it :D

Mine started doing that after having Maddy. It still hasn't stopped though. I tried having it thinned out, tried cutting it short, nothing helps. I had my thyroid checked thinking maybe that could be it, but it wasn't.

I have had significant hair loss with both kids (it's why I chopped off my long locks after Cohen), but that's not what bothers me because I have alot of hair, so it never gets thin. What sucks to me is when it starts growing back. I have about an inch or two of growth coming in right now, and I leaves this nice ring around the head. I guess the good news is I have hair growing back in spots that it never grew before (good because I have a large forehead ).

I had it with both boys, badly. Looked like I had a receding hair line.
Vitamins do work I think Flax Seed oil is one of the ones that helps.

Ugh, mine was terrible too. I was really surprised I didn't have bald spots. Luckily it slowed down but comes and goes still. Kids really suck the life out of us!! :hehe:
