Have you ever heard of this being done? Does it work? Have you done it?

I've heard of it, but I've heard it isn't foolproof--it has worked for some and hasn't for others.
I think it only works if you are further along in your pregnancy? I'm not really sure though. When I ran out of HPTs I started peeing on these and there was a blaring positive. I was about 4 months along though

I tried an OPK when I was about 6 weeks along and it was so positive the control line was very faint!!
Yes..I tried it when I was a few weeks along and it works. You have to be further along though than with a regular hpt, so that kind of defeats the point. ;)

Thanks Farah for posting this for me.....
My name is Jenni, Hubby is Joel, we have 2 beautiful children DS 4 and DD 3. We are TTC our 3rd (second together)
Here are the pics of my OPK's Tell me what you girls think! My AF showed June 2nd and lasted about 10 days, cycles since being off birth control in march have been 35-40 days!

here is a pic with todays test added! Notice to control lines on the very dark tests! But today it seems the test line is getting lighter??

Typically, they're not terribly reliable until you're further along (as others have said). The LH hormone is similar to the HcG hormone, so an OPK can pick this up. However, this is not always accurate. It really is better to use an hpt when you are unsure as to whether you could be O'ing or pregnant. Tons of babydust your way Jenni!!

Yeah I agree with the others..you have to be farther along. I tryed it after I got my BFP and all the OPK's were negative.

Thank you all!! I do believe that this was just a late O..... the first round of "almost" positive must have been just a LH surge, that I didnt actually O from.... Weird part about it was the first round should have been an actual O if I was on my normal 28 day cycle, and the last round was right on perdiction of O for my 40 day cycles that I've been having since being off BC...
Before BC (started last september) I would only have maybe 2 periods a year!!
Thank you all again!!! Hope in a couple weeks AF DONT show and I get a BFP!!!! :)):hula:

Good luck. I am guessing your theory may be right about preparing to ovulate and not ovulating then but ovulating later. I sure hope you see a BFP soon!
