Now I am having shooting pains up the other breast.

I am so done. Done. Nope, she's not taking a bottle, but when this is over, I am done with breastfeeding. It's just not worth it.

I keep pumping and feeding her, but I can't seem to get the little knot out of my right breast. I have no clue what's up with the pains in my left breast.

I'm so sorry hon. Have you gotten in to see the doc? I had several clogged ducts and a milk blister, and they hurt like a mother. Are you, by chance, wearing an underwire bra? That will do it if so. :bighug:

I would call the dr. do you have a lactation group near you that you could talk to?

Tons of hugs! I suggest calling an LC and see if a physical therapist can come over and work out the knots in your boobies. Sorry you are going through this. A lot of us have been there so we're here for you.

Ultra sound! I can't believe I didn't think of it before! There are all sorts of PT places here that will do ultra sound on clogged ducts. I've never had it done but debated it with the last clog I had because I was having such a hard time working it out.

Ironically, when I pumped for I had 2 clogged ducts and that was when I cut it down to 2 sessions a day. I was able to unclog them easily when I pumped because they were close to the surface. I've had 3 while nursing Thomas, all deep inside my breast so they were very hard to get at.

I hope you can find some relief soon. :support:

Yep. It hurts like a SOB but it really unclogs them! And you should be taking lecithin woman!

I'm so sorry Lauren! I remember how painful the clogs are. I got them all the time when I was pumping, but once I quit pumping, they went away.

I guess for me, it was the pumping, because I haven't gotten a single clog this time around, since I haven't been pumping multiple times a day.

I hope you can get it all figured out soon, and things stabilize for you.
