I'm taking private prenatal classes now. I have done hot and bikram before too. Love bikram. It's a serious workout.

:hello: I do. I don't follow any programs... I just do the poses that work best for me.

I do yoga on my Wii fit and I love it.

I have sore hips, my doc says it is probably arthritis. Of course building muscle and losing weight will help them.
I'm interested in yoga moves that focus on the hips...
any poses you guys suggest?

I know that warrier and triangle are hip openers. Those are my favorites, but I can't do them now with my dumb pelvis issues.

I also suggest warrior. My hips have this issue where they pop a lot (thank you, 3rd pregnancy). I mean, my hips pop 50 times a day and it hurts. I started a few months ago doing that pose after reading it's supposed to help hip issues and it has helped. My hips don't pop nearly as much and when they do pop it doesn't hurt.

I'll look and see if I can find anymore. I have a book that names some for certain things.

Hi Paula,
I have been practicing yoga since last 6 months and found great to sooth stress and relief pain. Yoga brings flexibility in the body and helps in breathing better.

Umm......I went to a yoga stretch class one time. I was really sore from working out and thought it would help me feel better. I was torture and I felt like a total loser with all those 60 year old women doing everything with ease. OMG! Even the instructor was pregnant and doing these poses that seemed impossible. I swear it was an advanced class, not beginner like they said! :hehe: I haven't shown my face near there again.

I do! I love yoga and do ashtanga and bikrams. I have a lot of neck, shoulder and back issues and going to yoga regularly is the only thing that helps. I find that hot yoga works best for me, and I prefer bikrams over other types I've tried.

My problems are all in my upper body so I've never focused on my hips before but there are a lot of poses that make my core and legs work and I'm sure that those will help with hip troubles.
