Post Partum Hair Loss

How long does this crap last?! Seriously......it started at 3 months and hasn't let up since. I lose so much hair I'm surprised I don't have bald spots. It's ridiculous. I am shedding worse than any dog.

I know what you mean! I didn't have very thick hair to begin with and I can't believe I am not balding by now. Poor Averie has more of my hair on her than her own most of the time :hehe:

Eli was 5months when I got sick of it and choped mine real short and that stoped it. But I know what you mean I was sure thinking I was going bald.

That's why I made the crucial mistake and went for the bob. I did that in August....the shedding started in March. So....you do the math :blush:

I think my stopped around 7 months PP. So annoying!!! :thumbsdown: It's crazy how you can lose so much hair and not be bald. I hope it stops for you soon!:flower:

OMG I know...I have really thick hair and it is EVERYWHERE!!!!!!!!!!! I'm thinking about cutting mine off too....Just like what Sandy said Shane is covered in it...I read it can take up to a year pp for it too stop falling out...Good luck to you and the rest of us that it stops soon!!

I also had the hair loss... it was crazy. I had enough and went in for a hair cut that took care of it.

I read that it can take up to year too.. I don't remember when it stopped with Tyler! Ugh!

My uncle is the former president of the Georgia Hairdresser's Association and still does work with Revlon...and I called him when my hair started to fall out after I had Annie. He said that it takes time, but will eventually go away. It seemed like forever, but it does happen! He also recommended taking Vitamin E and Fish Oil capsules to help strengthen the hair.

It goes away...I swear! ;)

This is why I chopped my hair, too, and I regret it so much! It stopped falling out like 2 weeks after I cut it off. I think it was around 6 or 7 months PP.

I've had my hair cut 2 times, trims though, nothing drastic. I also take Fish Oil pills every day. I haven't taken Vitamin E though. I think I eat a pretty good diet as well and amnot overly stressed (I'm a mom so there's some there, right?!) :hehe: I just really hate it. Ther's always a huge chunk that comes out each morning and in the shower. Plus it will be all over my pillow and my poor child. :sigh: I didn't think it'd last this long though.

I just noticed last week that mine has stopped. I'm no longer pulling hair out of the drain after every shower. Yuck!

I hope it lets up soon!! Hey, you could totally rock the Britney Spears and shave your head! lol ;)
