I am at the highest level stress in several years...I made a mistake that could cost me my job...the kids are feeding off it, Sam's been crying, not able to sleep at night. Isobel cried all morning. Which has my stress level at explosive.

And I think its affecting my milk supply. Possible?

Besides relax, what can I do? Do mothers milk teas work?

Yeah, everything i've read says stress can negatively impact your supply. Wouldn't hurt to try the tea, but I've gotten more significant results from using fenugreek capsules.

The only thing that helped me was the oatmeal and water.
I really hope thing settle down for you soon, you don't deserve this stress.

Stress can definitely affect it. Back when I was pumping for Elise, it was my first week back and she was at home not taking a bottle. I had full, full breasts and could NOT get a letdown. After talking to DH on the phone, 8 more ounces came pouring out once I relaxed (giving me 11 oz. total). This was after I sat for 10 minutes trying to get a letdown.

Eat as much oatmeal as you can (steel cut oats are best) -- eat it via cookies if that's the easiest way (I don't eat actual oatmeal very often). You can try marshmallow root for milk supply (I got mine off Amazon because I couldn't find it locally), otherwise nettle leaf is another remedy.

I hope you can de-stress! Here's a link for you as well: http://www.kellymom.com/herbal/milksupply/herbal-rem_n.html

As for the supply and tea. I know stress can effect your supply. I would suggest the mother's milk tea, lots of water and some of these yummy lactation cookies:

I hope your stress levels go down soon. I'm so sorry that everything is happening like that right now. I don't have advice to add, because the other ladies covered it. When my supply dips, I take Fenugreek for about a week, and it goes right back up.

:support: I'm so sorry you're under so much stress, Lauren. Fenugreek always helped my supply, too. I actually took a supplement called More Milk Plus. It was pretty expensive but it worked really well.

I second what all these ladies said! Stress can really affect things.

ALSO...these cookies are SOOOO addictive! I haven't made them in a few months but I was making tons in the beginning! :)
