:hula: I got the Paragard (copper IUD) today. I had some bleeding and a little cramping, but now I'm good to go until 2021. Wow, that sounds like a long time away! Then I will probably get my tubes tied or do something more permanent.

Nope, no more babies. :( I did go with a semi-permanent birth control so it's not completely permanent so I suppose we could change our mind in 5 years, but it's highly unlikely.

Did it hurt to have it put in? I'm pretty sure I want one too. Hormonal birth cog
ntrol does horrible things to me.

Thanks, Jo! Three is plenty for us. I don't know what's wrong with me, but it makes me sad that there won't be another. It's like my body is addicted to the experience of being pregnant and then meeting those babies. But yes, I am done. :))
:)) glad you don't have to worry. I had no idea they were good for 10 years..wow!

Yay! I'm glad it was a good experience for you. I hope it works well. It's nice that if you change your mind you can easily reverse it, if you change your mind.:hehe:

Leah: the Paragard is 10 years, where the Mirena is 5 (I believe). I didn't want to chance the hormones because I'm breastfeeding, and I have a Hx of migraines with hormonal contraceptives.
