We put ours up the day after thanksgiving.

We put ours up this weekend. I usually do it the first weekend of December. If I'm going to put that much effort into something I want to enjoy for a while. ;)

The cat massacred it completely. I have to keep reattaching branches and she breaks them off in pieces and carries them around the house. I am so glad I did not put up ornaments!

We tried waiting to put it up until December, but I'm a big baby when it comes to that, so it went up Black Friday!

Yep, we got ours the weekend after Thanksgiving for the same reason. We would usually get it around now, but I just didn't want to worry about it or miss seeing Duncan's excitement about decorating it.

Last year we did it the week before Christmas and it was so nice we left it up until Feb. So this year we got it up the sunday after Thanksgiving so we can enjoy it and still take it down at a reasonable date

It's not real :hehe: Yeah, if I'm not mistaken we took it down for valentine's day. It was just so nice and cozy with the lights and everything, and after Sean's mom died in Jan, getting it down just wasn't a priority plus it was nice to have something festive and pretty in the house in the midst of this horrible time. But we decided to get it up early this year so we could enjoy it for as long as possible but not be the weirdos with a tree up all through January again!

We just bought ours yesterday afternoon. Gonna decorate it today I believe. This is the latest we've ever gotten one but its just been one of those months.

We put ours up the first weekend in December. It's really pretty, but the branches are drooping even though I have been watering it....it isn't dropping a ton of needles, though, so I hope it will make it to Epiphany.

This is our first year with our own Christmas tree. It is a fake tree, but we picked it up on Monday. We plan on putting it up on Christmas Eve after Yuuki goes to bed.

Ok, I am so ready to take the tree down. :hehe: It's drooping and just no longer pretty enough for me to like it. Plus it takes up so much room in our family room. It's going down the day after Christmas. Am I a Scrooge? :blush:

Caitlin, I am right there with you. Our tree isn't losing many needles, but it is very droopy and the needles are sooo dry and crispy. I put sugar in the water tonight so maybe that will help, but I think our tree will be down by Tuesday. It is screaming fire hazard!

2 asprin in the water is supposed to help keep it alive as well.

My grandparents used to do that every year. My mom said it was so fun seeing the tree there on Christmas morning.

Here is ours. We got it last weekend and it will probably stay till next weekend. I LOVE the smell. We stuck it in between our recliners to try and keep mason out... 75% success!
