TMI alert:

I am going to see a Dr, but in the mean time I wanted to get some opinions from ppl i know have had hemorrhoids lol

When I go #2, there is blood covering the stool and on the tp. But there is no pain/itching/irritation at all so I'm not sure its a hemorrhoid. Is it possible its an internal? Or something more serious? And yes, the blood is bright red. Thanks!

Edit: oh, I thought I'd mention, I'm not constipated. I go quite often actually, almost every trip to the bathroom. And its usually loose.

It's hard to say. I never had itching but you can feel something hanging or bumping out. Gross, huh?

I am pretty sure hems can be internal also.

Good luck!

You could have broken a blood vessel.

I went to the doctor for the same thing maybe 7-8 years ago.
She said bright red blood was okay...it could be a roid or a broken blood vessel. She said bloody stool- the kind you worry about - is more blackish.

She basically stuck her finger up my butt, made me pay $30 and told me I am fine.

It could be internal but I'd get it checked anyway. I know red blood is supposed to be ok but blood from your bum can be a bad thing. If it was occasional I'd chalk it up as a hemorrhoid but if it's every time I'd have it checked just in case.

I'd get it check and don't just assume it's a harmless hemorrhoid.

:ditto: I'd definitely go and ask your dr.

Go to the doctor. You're better off getting it checked out now and finding out everything is fine than you are waiting in case it's something serious. :support:

Thanks for the replies.. couple days after I posted that, my "period" started getting uber heavy and the cramp-like pain worse..so i've been dealing with that. My gyn started me on provera. I started it 1/15 and the cramping started a couple days after that, and the bleeding 1/20.. the bleeding had been about medium, but started getting really heavy 2 days ago..so im going through super+ tampons within an hour and constant pain. I'm going to call the hospital at UNC to see about some kind of financial help cuz i don't have a job anymore, or insurance and can't afford another hospital bill but i am SOOOOOO tired of this pain and heavy bleeding.. i really would like a d&c cuz i know there's ton of back up in there from years of not menstruating and would like it cleaned out.. maybe would help with getting pregnant? idk.. :argh:

The bleeding stopped on its own..And the gyn wanted me to continue with it but I ended up not even bothering, cuz now i'm dealin with somethin totally different. The first time i saw her she checked my thyroid, and felt something. She ordered an u/s and after that, a biopsy. Well, I have papillary carcinoma (thyroid cancer) and they are removing my entire thyroid this Tuesday =/
