Wonder how to add a signature or ticker to your profile? Not sure how to post a picture? This is the place to look! :twothumbs:

These are the steps to use if someone has created a signature image for you, like the image of Ben in my signature, and saved it here on the board (or any other site):

1. Right click on the image you want to use for your signature.

2. Select Save Image As.

3. Save image to your computer, somewhere easy to access like in your Pictures folder.

4. Upload image to Photobucket, Imagebucket, ImageShack or some other image hosting site. If you haven't created an account on any of those sites it's easy and most are free (Photobucket, for example).

5. Go to your User CP (first option in the top menu on forum screen).

Then Edit Signature (under Settings & Options in left menu).

6. Copy image link from image hosting site. It's usually under the image or along one of the sides of the page.

Make sure you choose BBcode. It will start with . Example (I added a space before IMG just to show the example): [ IMG]http://i120.photobucket.com/albums/o193/Laineys_Pics/MH/MHPreggers.gif.

7. Paste the image link into the signature box.

8. Click Preview Signature to make sure the image is showing properly.

9. Click Save Signature

There are all sorts of sites with different styles, types and sizes of tickers you can use for your signature (or avatar). They can be for anything from weight loss to pregnancy to TTC to someone's birthday to a special day. Here are just a few sites you can use:

1. Go to any of the above sites (or any other you may know of), set up your ticker and copy the BBcode for your signature (it will start with ).

2. Go to your [i]User CP (first option in the top menu on forum screen).

3. Then Edit Signature (under Settings & Options in left menu).

4. Paste the ticker link into the signature box.

5. Click Preview Signature to make sure the image is showing properly.

6. Click Save Signature

Posting an embedded YouTube video used to be quite simple but a few months ago YouTube changed something and now it doesn't work the way it used to. It can still be done but there's a trick. Here are the steps:

1. If you're starting a new thread you're already on the right screen. If you're replying to a post click Go Advanced.

2. Click the YouTube icon above the text box.

3. Go to YouTube and the video you want to embed. In the address bar you will see a URL like http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ap4jLKbP4k4. Highlight just the last portion of the URL, the video code. In the case of this example it would be ap4jLKbP4k4.

4. Copy and paste that code in between the YouTube BB code tags.

5. Preview your post to make sure the video is showing properly. You will see a disclaimer that requires you to click I AGREE to view the video.

6. Click I AGREE and view the video. Once you're sure it's working click Submit Reply.
