Hi girls! Thanks for thinking of me - it makes me feel really good you care. :)


First off, Leif is doing great and growing big. He had his first check up this past Tuesday. He weighed 6.15, which means he gained 10ounces since we left the hospital. They checked his biliruben to see if he was jaundice, but they never called us, so I believe he wasn't. His umbilical cord fell off yesterday! I wanted to do his newborn photos with it still attached, but I've felt so bad I wasn't able to do it. So Little Leif is doing great and he's a piggy...haha


As for myself - I saw my doctor Friday and she had to open my incision and now I have to pack it several times a day. It was infected and had been making me feel like crap. Now that I've been packing it and the infection is able to drain, I've been feeling a lot better and regaining strength. My only complaints are the pain and the fact that I have to take sponge baths. Not only am I in pain, but I'm stinky and gross also. I have no idea how long my incision will be open or how long ill have to pack it. I'm guessing only a few weeks? I certainly hope not longer than that. I do have good news (giggle) I've lost weight despite being glued to my bed and sofa! Lol

Ok...I better go get my little guy who's crying to be fed. Thanks again for all of your love and support...it means so much me. I have to admit that I was a little surprised by it. I just joined here and didn't expect it - but it is very nice to know people care about me. :))

Jo, I was really worried myself! My first two c-sections and recoveries went so well, I totally freaked out this time when things weren't going as normal. It's been scary, but it's easier to deal knowing now that it's more common than I thought.

She said it looks great, no more infection. It should be completely healed within 2 weeks as long as it doesn't collect fluid or get infected again.
