Forgive me with all these nonsensical posts but I'm trying to come to terms with what we're doing here or making some sense of the situation.

I just put Matt down for his second nap in HIS crib in HIS room :hula: That is one goal that I've been meaning to tackle for awhile now. 2 naps in a row in his own room.

Ok, so I think I am going to do this from now on and stick with it:

Morning nap: Rock in glider/in his room/nurse/listen to lullaby cd
Afternoon nap: Rock in glider/in his room/nurse/listen to lullaby cd
Sleep time: Jammies/book/Nurse/Daddy Rock in glider
Dreamfeed: BM in bottle

I am still debating whether or not to just have DH put him to sleep at night instead of me.

This is what we were basically doing before but not in his room at all.

And no more co-sleeping at all! AT ALL. (help me stick with this.)

No to co-sleeping!!!:support:

Sounds like a good schedule. My DH puts our boys to bed most nights and they love it so I totally encourage daddy putting the wee one to bed.

Oops, I just replied to your other post  Anyway, good for you for sticking with what you want to do!! I really hope it will help. Jay lays Lily down at night after I feed her, I don't know if it makes a difference or not! I'm sorry you're having a rough time, I hope it passes quickly!! :support:

Ditto to Hillarie! My DH does the night time routine (to give me a break) and it's awesome. The two of them love it too. It's their time.

Stick to your guns mama! No more co-sleeping! It might be a few nights of waking up but it can't be any worse than what you're going through now, right? :support:

Jo we went through the same thing! We started co-sleeping and we regretted it BIG time! It was a task getting him back in his own bed, but we did it! and now he is sleeping like a champ! Stick to your guns and Matt will be in his crib sleeping all night in no time!!!! :hula:

Oh and here is a BIG HUG  b/c it's hard CIO! trust me I cried the first couple of nights we did it and I thought this isn't worth it, but it's been the best thing for us! Goodluck sweetie!!! :support:

It's true. It's not like he sleeps better with us and my back is starting to really hurt from laying half on and half off the bed :eyeroll:

I hope this works for you guys!

DH has been putting Aiden to bed every night for the past few weeks...tonight my DH wanted a break (:eyeroll:) so Mommy did it. Uhmm, figures! Aiden didn't like that and was up screaming! They don't want/need Mommy all the time. :hehe:

I hope it works and DH keeps it up! You are a lot stronger than me. I still bring Will to bed when he wakes up at 430.

Sounds like a great plan. If you have decided, and it sounds like you have that co-sleeping is no more, then just be conistent with this and everything else. The more consistent you are the quicker things will get to where you want them. Just rememer that in the middle of the night when you are tempted to put him in bed with you. If you stick to your guns for a little while the outcome you want will come around much quicker!

i know I have a million threads going

Matt slept in his crib all night :hula: He got up at 2 am and at 5:45 to eat. We got up for the day at 6:30 and now he is taking his morning nap. (in his crib)

I did not bring him into our bed at all. Not even for the extra 30 min. I can't wait to pack up the pnp and put it in our trunk so we use it only when we are out of the house!! Oh and when he woke up to eat I just fed him and rocked him back to sleep and at one point I put him in his crib and he started stirring so I patted his butt and he fell asleep!

Jo, that's an awesome start!!! I would stick with it, mama. Be strong, consistent, and remember...30 minutes sacrificed today may mean a whole hour in a few weeks! :hula:

How were his naps todaY?

Jojo
10-12-2009, 05:20 PM
They were good. His naps aren't really a problem and neither is going to sleep it's staying asleep that seems to be the problem.

His little internal clock wakes him up at 1 am and he thinks its time to party. Though, last night, he was clearly exhausted just fighting it like no other.
