View Full Version : Maybe the tool box wasn't a good idea...

Ben has been into 'fixing' things lately and will use anything he can as a screwdriver (the things that go into a mixer to mix dough work really well LOL) so we decided to buy him a tool box yesterday.

Well. Bad idea. We can't get him to do anything like eat or sleep. All he wants to do is 'fixing'. It took us almost an hour to get him to bed last night. We just had a 30 minute meltdown because I tried to clip a fingernail that was chipped and I had to stop him from fixing the microwave cart with his new drill. Now it's nap time and he keeps running from my DH heading into the dining room to 'fix' something with the needlenose pliers all the while sneaking side glances at DH.

Holy cow. Who knew a tool box would cause so many problems? I think it may be going away for a little while... :hehe:

I'm sorry to laugh but that's hysterical. I have some things that need fixing. You can just ship him on over.

LOL! :hehe: Him & Eli!! Eli LOVES his!! I find tools in everything all over the house! DH thought the Black N Decker kids 100 some piece set was just soo cool to get him!! Yeah right!:eyeroll: That stuff is everywhere!

LOL, sounds like my boys. Always fixing and you best not interrupt them LOL.

We finally got him to go down for his nap and, of course, once we got him in there he was out in seconds. :rolleyes:

So, we have kids who love to fix things and apparently the best thing to do is just let them do it. Any ideas how to get a husband to fix things? You'd think I was asking him to pull out his fingernails anytime I harass him for things that need to be done. :hehe:
