Pregnancy always makes me horribly constipated, nothing I'm allowed to take helps.

I just pooped for the first time in 5 days. It was awful. I cried, seriously. My butt's actually bleeding. It smelled so foul it made me more nauseated than I already was. UGH that was so awful. I still have chills.

It's a good thing children are so cute and wonderful, I certainly wouldn't go through this for just anyone!

So sorry. I remember my midwife telling me to eat alfalfa or take alfalfa pills, it helps with constipation and it does work. Oh, and to drink lots of water. I hope your tushy is feeling better. :support:

Oh man... That sucks! I know this is probably a stupid question but are you stuffing yourself full of fibre? I know that if I don't eat at least one piece of fruit a day I pay for it. Raisins are great. I eat a small box (a kid's size) at night if I haven't had enough fruit throughout the day.

I hope it eases up for you! :support: What a pain in the butt! (pun intended... :hehe:)

I'm taking Fibercon, I can't really eat many things lately and when I can manage to eat it's only what I can stand at the moment which isn't much and varies from second to second. I'll have to try alfalfa pills though!

As odd as this sounds grapes always helped calm my raging stomach. No idea why but a handful of grapes did the trick. Lucky for me we've usually got some on hand because Ben loves them.

My biggest problem the first few weeks was that I craved carbs (and they were one of the only things I could eat) and that does nothing for keeping you regular.

I second the fiber. Kashi makes a great fiber filled cereal!

Normally I love Kashi GoLean Crunch, but I just can't eat it right now. I can barely eat anything. Today I had a piece of pecan danish, 2 peaches, some rice, and a slice of cheese.

Poor thing! I hope you can figure out something.

I actually almost posted something like this yesterday when I realized I hadn't pooped since Sunday morning! I had the runs all weekend, so I guess it was just evening out... I think I'll have to try the alfalfa too!

Gosh hon, I feel for you! I had the same issue during the first tri when I couldn't eat anything. And I'm sure you know this, too, but cheese is not good! It'll stuff you right up.

My problem was that for a few weeks in the beginning, I couldn't drink my daily coffee b/c it was making me sick. As soon as the m/s went away and I could stop drinking it again, I haven't had any issues. I'm trying to remember what the stuff was that my doc had told me to drink. Farah, you remember? It was the constipation stuff. You're doc had told you to try it before too I believe. It worked pretty well after I finally managed to go.

Heather, it was Miralax! That should help, too!
