yes, that is how long I rocked Matthew last night and you know what?!
The little turd (thanks for this word) still was NOT sleeping.
OMG I just wanted to kill myself. DH even tried but I heard him on the monitor getting annoyed (after like 5 min) so I went back up there. We finally gave him the motrin and he finally fell asleep in bed with me.
This sucks.

:hugs: We've been having the exact same battle with Averie lately. I seriously almost cried with her every time I put her in bed and she immediately stood up and started crying :( I hope he (and you) gets more sleep tonight :support:

Yeah, he's teething. We can see the bulge on top but nothing yet. That's why we gave him the motrin.
Did I mention I play tetris on DS and I'm trying to beat my high score of 548 lines while I rock him? That's why I have patience :hehe:

We are having the same sleep problems here. Emmelia is fighting sleep both at night and during the day. She started this last weekend. I have no idea what it causing it. She was awake from 11:30 am yesterday until 8:00 last night. I spent 2 hours yesterday afternoon trying to get her to nap. She was crying and so was I. I finally gave up and plopped her in her exersaucer. She looked at me and laughed. It sure is a good thing that she's so cute....

Is she learning something new? How to roll over, sit up, anything like that? If so then it's perfectly normal for them to boycott sleep while they're learning. It's like they think they need to be awake the entire time to practice :hehe:

Yes, actually. Maybe that's it. She's been working on rolling over. She's gets 3/4 of the way over and then gets stuck on her arm. :hehe:

I am sorry he is not sleeping...:support:
I hope those nasty teeth come in and stop making him feel like this!
OMG Matt laughs at me too. He was slapping himself silly last night and then DH and I started cracking up because he was so delirious and then he started laughing. We're a bunch of loons!

Averie does this too, and she pulls her own hair! Of course we laugh so we're loons too :hehe:

Oh, and I have to share now. Averie was so deliriously tired last night that she was doing anything she could to stay awake. Including blowing raspberries while still latched on. It was so funny that Kevin and I were both cracking up which of course made her laugh and only ham it up even more! :eyeroll: and :hehe:

I'm sorry!! Why are these kids always throwing us for a loop? Charlie's sleeping less at night and I'm at a loss. DH thinks he's having another growth spurt.

There are so many things that can affect it at this age, so it's tough. I'm sorry he's giving you such a hard time! Maybe try shifting bed time? Ugh, I wish I had a good plan to fix it for you. Just know that I sympathize and hope it's over soon! :support:

I don't want to sound sutpid asking or sound like I think you're stupid, but is he showing the tired signs when you start his bedtime routine? Is he fussy during the rocking or is he just playful? Does he go to bed around the same time every night with the same routine?

I was telling DH tonight I think he's over tired. He fell asleep at 6 pm last night when we started driving home from my moms! He woke up when we got home ate and went back down within 45 min.
I think we're just tiring him out too much. I don't know how because it's not like we do anything crazy.
So tonight I am going to start earlier.
