So Dh puts Cohen to bed at his normal time (7:00pm). He cried, which he's been doing every night lately except it normally only lasts a couple of minutes. Not lastnight. Lastnight it lasted about 30, so I went in and made sure he was okay and left again. The crying got harder, of course, to the point where I thought he was going to make himself puke. So I go in and rock him. Put him back down, the crying starts again. This went on for the next hour and a half until I finally get him to sleep (I had given him some Tylenol sometime in between there). Not ten minutes later, he was awake AGAIN and crying! WTF??? So I rock him once again, and he goes back to sleep. I go to bed, and I get awoken at 11:15 by crying. I tried to get Dh up to go get him, but he wouldn't wake up, so I finally brought Cohen to my bed where he slept the rest of the night with his head stuck right in my back. Needless to say, I got no sleep.
I have no idea what the deal was. He has never slept in the bed with me except for when I was breastfeeding and would bring him in with me after his 4:30 am feeding. Not because I don't want him to be able to sleep with me if he's having trouble, but because I he and I both sleep better in our own beds. I just pray this doesn't happen again tonight.
It was sweet though how as soon as Mommy was in the room, the crying subsided and a smile replaced it. Little sh*t.

Hopefully tonight goes better for you! Maybe he just needed some mommy cuddles.

I love when someone else refers to their child as "little sh*t." Makes me feel like I'm not alone in this world.
I hope tonight is better for you all! :support:

Hopefully it was a one night thing. Conner has nights that I have to keep him up a little extra.

Thanks girls. Ugh, today hasn't been any better. He wouldn't nap, and we tried for over 2 hours. So after having no nap today, you can imagine the mood he was in all afternoon. Crying every two minutes. I got him down for bed an hour early and thought all would be well (had to rock him to get him down after he'd cried for 20 minutes). He was up again 30 minutes later crying. We left him in there a while b/c at this point I'm thinking he's just super over-tired. Finally, I go in and he'd pooped. No wonder, my kid won't sleep if he's pooped. So it took me another 30 minutes to get him back to sleep, and he's woken up two more times since then crying, but the crying didn't last too long. I just have a sneaking suspition that he's going to end up in my bed tonight again. Wonder what's wrong with my baby? I hope he's not in pain and I don't know it. I've given him Tylenol once before what was supposed to be his nap, but he wouldn't take anymore Tylenol after he'd woken up around 6:45 with the poop, and he usually loves taking his medicine. Also wouldn't eat applesauce which he LOVES or drink his liquid yogurt, which he also loves. I just don't know, and I don't like it.
He's told me before when something hurts, so I hope he'd be able to tell me if something did. Although when I was brushing his teeth, he said, "Mommy, it hurts". So maybe that's all it is. I'm so confused and sleep deprived.

 I hope he doesn't end up in your bed tonight so you both can get some rest! Poor little guy. Maybe he's getting some new teeth?

Hmm does he have any teeth left to come in besides the 2nd molars?
Might be gas or something like that too. A couple times when Ava wakes up in the middle of the night crying, after a while she lets out some farts and seems a lot happier....guess she just had to cry them out.:hehe:

Nope, no sores. Today has been much better! I didn't get woken up at all lastnight, and today he took a 3 hour nap. Whatever it was, I hope it's over for good!

Woohoo!! He went down tonight without a fight! So glad. He was so happy today, too. Like, as crabby as he was yesterday, he was just as happy today. So much better than crabby.
