Now the fever

So Sadie got sick about a week and half ago and she was feeling better for a few days now. She still had a little cough but nothing major but now my mom calls and tells me that she might have a fever which she hadn't up until now. I tried to walk my mom through to check her fever but my mom doesn't know how to use the thing. Now what, i'm at work until 4 and i feel stupid just calling the dr. and not knowing if she has a temp or not. I am so nervous with this flu thing, i don't know what to do.

Has she been around anyone that's sick? Is she acting unusual or not like herself? If she's acting fine and your mom isn't sure if she has a fever, it might be okay to wait. But if she's not acting right, I'd probably try to get her in. I hope it's nothing! :support:

we have been so careful about washing hands and being around a lot of people. I don't think she is acting unusual she is just sitting watching cartoons like she always does. I think I'm going to wait until i get home.

Hmm I would have your Mom just keep an eye on her and if her face gets red like with fever and she starts acting real sick. Then check her when you get home. What she had could have went to her ears. And if it is the flu you still have plenty of time to get her to the Dr. Hope she starts feeling better soon!

Yeah, I wouldn't rush to do anything just yet. Just keep an eye out for her behavior. If she's mopey and clingy and not herself then call the doc otherwise just wait until you can check her temp.

Hi Ladies
She is doing fine, i checked her when i got home and no fever and she wasn't down or anything. I checked her again this morning and no fever again, now I'm starting to think that the teacher just scared my mom and then of course my mom scared me. I just wish i had been home to just check her temp when she came home from school, none of this worrying would have happened. Oh well she's okay for now so that's good.
