Duncan is such a sweet little kid. As a two year old, he is definitely asserting his will, but his hissy fits are usually just him slowly laying down on the floor (he bummed his head once :hehe: ) and laying there for a few minutes.
This past week, he has been ALL OVER the word "NO" and just such a PITA some times. Well, last night I had to stay late in the city to attend a happy hour for work that was also an Xmas party planning thing. On my way home, DH called (I can hear Duncan crying in the background) and said, "Duncan wants you. He keeps asking for mom." So I tried to talk to him on the phone but it didn't help.
When I got home, I walk in the door and Duncan says he wants hugs. Then, he says, "Ice cream?" Apparently, our nanny gave him ice cream earlier so DH wouldn't give him any. He TOTALLY didn't miss me - he just thought I would be the one to give in and give him more icecream!!!
For TWO HOURS more he cried and threw himself on the floor asking for ice cream. Ugh. I finally made him a fruit smoothies as an attempted compromise. He kept saying "no" and asking where the cookies were (we have cookies and cream ice cream), but he ate it all and FINALLY shut up!
Gotta love those terrible twos... :eyeroll:
