So, we are going to visit my parents in KY this weekend (3hour trip)! This trip will be really easy I think than any other. B/C Eli doesn't have to have bottles every so many hours. So there in itself is alot of stuff I won't be packing!! Plus he eats whatever so other than his Gerber snacks I won't have to pack any food. Just diaper, wipes, toys, and his clothes!!!

Eli does really good on car rides give him is sippy and a toy and he is good!

Have you taken your LO's on any trips? How Far? How did it go?

We took a road trip to Toronto when Ben was about a month old (it's a 4 hour drive from here) but he slept the whole way and my boobs were his food so it wasn't a big hassle.

My sister and family recently bought a cottage and we've been up there a few times (2 hour drive) and plan to take many more trips up there. I can foresee lots of weekends in the summer being spent sitting down by the lake...

Don't even get me started. Lol. My family is in PA, Dh's is in Ohio. We typically live in Georgia, though we were in Utah for a year a few years ago, and now we're in Florida.

We travel. A lot.

Most recently, the drive down here (around 6 hours). We have a dvd player in the car for Tyler (it does have dual screens for when she's older). That occupies him, even during the 14 hour drives. Lily actually did great, I fed her, we got in the car, stopped twice to feed her along the way. We'll see how the next one goes with her..

We take 3hr car trips all the time to see DH's family. Usually we schedule it just for nap time and he'll sleep most of the way there. Charlie's usually great for road trips, so I'm super lucky there! :thumb:

Other types of travel.....I've flown with Charlie for four round trips (so 8 actual flights). It's not as bad as I thought it would be and you learn to accommodate!

Oy, the number of plane trips we used to take! Of course now we'll have to pay for Tyler, lol. He was usually pretty good, except for the time we were stuck in PA for an extra few days b/c he had an ear infection. That flight-- not fun. At least it was the 2 hour one back to GA and not one of our 5 hour ones to Utah. We had to fly while we were out there b/c it was so far. I think in total, Tyler has flown.. 8 round trips/16 flights. Sheesh. 8 trips in about two years.. now we'll probably fly once round to Ohio and once to PA each year we're in FL. After we go back to GA, it's back to the car. So much better with 2 kids!

Cohen's only been in the car for an hour and a half at a time. Most of our family lives within 75 miles of us, so we don't have much travelling to do!

We're going to stay w/ Farah and Charlie in June which means flying, and I'm scared! I've never flown without someone to direct me through the airport lol. I'm not too good w/ things like that. Maybe we'll make it! :umm:

YOU WILL MAKE IT! Even if I have to talk to you and guide you through the airport myself.

Conner has been on a bunch of trips! His first, and biggest was when he was 2 1/2 months old and we flew from Spain to Dover (8 hour flight) and then drove from Dover to Ohio (which was 6 hours). Then the same back to get back to Spain.

Well I guess this was his biggest. He was 6 months old and we flew from somewhere in Jerez, Spain to Madrid, Spain (an hour flight) and then from Madrid to Atlanta (9 hour flight) THEN we flew from Atlanta to Gulfport, MS (an hour). Then a few days later we drove 18 hours to Ohio. Wow! lol

We just went last week to Ohio. We flew and it was only 2 hours. SO much better but not fun alone.
