For those of you who don't know me, I have a just over 2 month old baby. He had his shots on Monday and last night he was very fussy. He cried on and off for 2 hours. Could it still be from his shots? Also can shots cause constipation? Just wondering.

Yeah the shots could have made him fussy. But so could have the constipation... I have never heard of shots causing constipation. :idontknow: It is soo hard at the age to tell what is hurting and causing it. Soooo many times I just wanted Eli to telll me what was wrong. Hope he starts feeling better!

I'm not sure about the constipation. But, my pedi told me that with Lily, she should only be fussy for a day or so. With Tyler, it never lasted longer than a day after the shots, though he was miserable and fussy every.single.time. Has it been continuous since the shots, or is it on and off? Did you change anything else?
I hope he feels better!! :support:

I believe I read somewhere that it can take up to 11 days for a reaction to a vaccine to show itself.
Is it out of the norm for him to cry like that? I ask because most, not all, babies have a fussy time in the evening. Ben would ***** and complain for 2-3 hours every night when he was an infant. He eventually grew out of it but for months he was a Grumpy Gus in the evening.
Do you breast feed or formula feed? Breast fed babies can go for a few days without a bowel movement. If he is constipated and you are breast feeding, have you changed your diet at all? It could be something you're eating that's causing it. If he's formula fed, have you switched formulas recently?
Just throwing things out there. I hope your little guy feels better soon! :support:

Thanks ladies!! He's not constipated I just thought he might be but he's fine. He was much better tonight. He dosen't normally get really fussy in the evenings. At least not like that so maybe it was from the shots. Not sure but either way he's better so YAY!!
