Teething sucks!

Emmelia is working on all 4 of her top teeth right now. Her gums are bulged and swollen and she is just plain miserable. I feel so bad for her. All she wanted yesterday was to be held and snuggled. I caved and gave her tylenol yesterday evening cause she started crying and wouldn't stop. And she wouldn't nurse - that's a first. A boob normally makes everything better for her. She fell asleep about 15 minutes after I gave her the tylenol. Poor baby. She was up 4 times last night. I wish the stupid things would just cut through already. If not, her first Christmas isn't going to be a happy one. Ugh.

The top for Matt are the worst!! I hope they come out quickly! Motrin is the only thing that works for Matt. :support:

Poor Baby! So sad when nursing can't even comfort them. I hope they give her some relief soon. :support:

William has been the same way. It was awful and I thought my sweet baby had vanished forever. Then we bought him an amber teething necklace and praise the heavens it works! :hula: We keep that thing on him all the time and he is doing so much better. We've hardly had to give him Tylenol or Teething Tablets.

I hope Emmelia feels better and those stinkers pop through! Teething is almost as hard on us as it is on them. :support:

When teething tablets don't work I actually freeze a washcloth and let them chew on it... it really works!!

We also put her spoons in the freezer (the plastic ones), that seems to help a bit! I'm sorry, we're going through something similar, her top two are trying to come through! Ugh! :support:
