Today we went for Matt's 9 month well check.

He is doing well and is growing well. He is 90% for height (29.5 inches) and teetering between 25-50% for weight (19.8 lbs) because he is breastfed and she said it starts to taper with the fat content. So I guess it's normal as she wasn't worried about it.

Also, she said his testicles are above his scrotum so that freaked me out but she said not to worry because as soon as he's more upright it'll happen and it's completely normal they aren't stuck up there or something like that. I wonder why they mention these things to you--is it just to make you nervous?

He got a finger prick for anemia and iron and they are both normal. Lead test we are waiting on. He got his Hep B shot which was a nightmare because the finger prick was a nightmare.

Overall she said he is a healthy boy and we might have a hit a record in the office for least amount of visits this year. :hula:

:hula: That's awesome! He's built like Cohen (nothing wrong with that ;)). And you crack me up with the testicle comment! :hehe: I have no idea why she told you this, but hopefully they drop soon! :D

Ben is a tall, skinny guy too. There's nothing wrong with that! :twothumbs:

Sounds like he's doing well even if his balls are a little high. :hehe: Why on earth would she say that if it isn't an issue? Maybe to keep you in the loop in case someone else mentioned it? I don't know...

yeah I have no idea...it was strange. I also am now thinking OMG my son is going to have testicles attached to his pubes or something.

Yay for a growing boy who is healthy!
Maybe she mentioned it just to keep you informed so that if someone else mentioned it to you, besides his actual ped. you didn't go back to them and ask them why they didn't notice/mention it you? I don't know either though...I think the doctors like to scare us:hehe:

Glad he is growing so well! ;) Talon was/is the same way. When he was really little his weight and height were more even, then as he has gotten older and busier his height is still 90%ile and weight is 50%ile.
