Soooo sick of lactating..grrrrrr

So I breastfed my son for four months and subsequently lactated until I got preggers with Emily. I had made the choice to not breast feed her and still now, even as she approaches her one year birthday I am leaking milk....grrrrrrr. Just had to complain, thank you:D

Have you had your hormone levels checked? Breastmilk production is caused by hormones. You can talk to your doctor about this, and your doctor can check your hormone levels. Sometimes, hormonal birth control can even cause you to leak milk. Your doctor can give you pills to take and it will dry your milk up.

I did the same thing after I breastfed for 5 months (with my first) and stopped, however, I was on oral birth control. I was offered the pills to take to "dry me up", but I decided not to use it. I'm not sure how many pills you have to take or for how long, but it might be something you'd be interested in. :)
