Ok, so my ped. said that we can start giving Chandler table food, but I am not 100% sure of what to give him. I know no milk, but what about cheese or yogurt? I feel so dumb since I raised one child but I forgot EVERYTHING from this age. He only has 4 teeth and still isn't chewing anything hard yet. I break up crackers really small and he can do those (almost crumbs because I am scared he'll choke), and he does little bits of bread. He had a few small pieces of b-day cake the other day...he was in heaven...lol. I know I can give him Jello, but haven't tried it yet because I am afraid of the red food dye. Watching the doctors last year scared me death with the food coloring, especially red food dyes....grrrrrrrrrrrrrr. Maybe I will buy orange Jello. Anything else I can maybe give him to try?

Aiden still only has 3 teeth, but so far he's been good with: cheese, yogurt, pancakes, bread, pasta, stewed veggies, bananas, oranges, chicken nuggets, french fries lol
He will try pretty much everything we eat, but whether or not he'll really eat it is another story.

How old is he now, I can't remember? Seems like I started giving Cohen yogurt around 8-9 months old, but I don't believe I did cheese for a while. Gosh, I really can't remember either! I know we did alot of the jarred babyfood purees starting at 6 months old.
We give Matt everything. :hehe: Yogurt, cheese... The cheese we give him is the cow bell triangles probably toxic as hell but he loves them.

I love them too. :hehe:
I think he can eat pretty much anything as long as it's small and somewhat mushy. Ben barely had any teeth at that age and I gave him all sorts of things. Cooked veggies cut into small pieces, soft fruit, cheese, teething crackers, pasta is hilarious because they have a hard time picking it up :hehe:, darn near anything you eat just small and mushy. I think eggs and milk are really the only ones to avoid for a few more weeks.

I just gave them soft stuff that I could think of. Mashed potatoes, mac n cheese, yogurt, applesauce, etc.
I also give matt hard boiled egg but only the yellow part. He's only had it 2 times and doesn't seem to thrilled with it.
Whatever you give him for finger food just make sure it's soft. Our favorite is the banana. Oye what a mess.

We give Lily just about everything we eat except for the things the pedi said to wait on. She said at 9 months to start with things like yogurt and cottage cheese to get them started on dairy (as tolerated if they have any issues). But other than that and eggs (because I never remember which part they can have :hehe:) she eats mostly what we do. Some things like veggies I was overcooking a bit until she got used to it. Also the gerber pasta pickups are great, I do still cut them in half.
I have to laugh as I'm typing this, lily eats all this food and only has 2 teeth and 15 pounds. People look at us like we're nuts in restaurants when we're giving her pieces of chicken :hehe:

That is great! Matt will spit out anything I give him that he doesn't like--chunks of avocado or chunks of banana.

For the cheese I took shredded cheese and then mashed them together over the sink (b/c of the mess) to make them into little cheese balls that essentially would just fall apart in his mouth. No worry about choking for him!

Thank you everyone. I swear I am more cautious with him than I was with Rylee. I was never worried about her choking or what she was eating. I baby Chandler much more. I guess it's because he's my last or just a mama's boy:hehe: He choked on a banana last time, so maybe I cut it too big. I freaked and took it all away and said no more. I feel like I am learning all over again. I did what Farah said today with Cheddar and Mozzarella cheese, and he loved it! I bought some yo baby yogurt today, and will give him that tomorrow. Hopefully all the baby food I bought today will be my last, except for the lunches. Thanks again everyone. If you have an other food ideas, keep them coming though:D
