OK, so I thought trying to walk thru this house without stepping on the millions of toys our 3 kids drag out was bad enough. Jake and Ky are about half the problem, even though we are constantly on top of them. But now Maddy is in this phase where everything gets thrown on the floor. It doesn't help that our house is little, I will be glad to get the addition built over the summer.

BUT NOW, Maddy is just tossing her food on the floor and I can't seem to get her to stop. You give her goldfish, she crunches them on the floor under her feet. Cheese doodles, noodles, fruit, bread, chips anything she can get her hand on she throws down. OMG, I took the cushions off the couch last night and we could have fed a 3rd world country with all the food from her dumping it out. I can't not figure out how to keep her from doing it.

It's gross and I vacuum like 3 times a day just to keep up with her

I just about died reading that

Sorry she's being a little pain. Hopefully this phase ends soon:support:

Man, I hate when I read stuff like this cause usually when you post about Maddy doing something, Addie starts doing it shortly after. :hehe:

I don't know what you could do other than maybe putting her in her highchair everytime she eats so she can't smash them or hide them in the couch. That's all I've got. lol

LOL it's really not funny. Just to show you how bad it is I should show you the picture. I took a picture last night to show Mike when he came home from work. I could not believe all of that was under my cushions.

I was just complaining about this in the kitchen and dining, she throws her food from the high chair! Oddly enough, when she has a snack on the floor, it's better, but still! UGh!

Have you tried a snack catcher? Like one like this: http://www.amazon.com/Munchkin-Snack-Catchers-Colors-Vary/dp/B000GB0NZK/ref=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8&s=baby-products&qid=1263502421&sr=1-3

We had something similar to this with Tyler. It worked pretty well. Or will she just throw them once the snack is out? :hehe:

Those are pretty cool Ashley, I may have to try them. Although I think she will just pitch them on the floor once she gets them out. She is also bad for half chewing something up and then deciding she doesn't want them so she spits it out wherever she feels like. And I was hoping the third one would be normal.:hehe:

Only thing we did was a snack trap and if he did it and we knew he was doing it to be a turd I'd say "If you throw your food again you get no more *whatever the food was*" and I'd take it away when he did it again. Eventually he learned.

Alice was a thrower until I got one of those snack cups. She does better now. But if she's grouchy and starts pulling them out and then throwing them, I take the cup away. I like it better because it gives me time to step in. With a normal bowl, it all happens too quick. It's just dump and stomp.

I think Conner is the only one who did worse with that snack thing. :hehe: He likes to eat foot by the fist fulls  so while he stuck his hand in there and got a fist full he'd knock out about 10 more pieces all over the floor...lol

That would drive me crazy too! I guess it's worth a shot and hopefully the snack cups help!

William is doing the same thing so I have no advice. I have just started giving him all his food in the high chair when we are home so I have a smaller area to clean up.
