I have a vaporizer, but I guess I don't know exactly how to use or where exactly to place it in Will's room. He was sneezing and had a clear snot runny nose yesterday and today he woke up pretty congested. I want to nip this thing in the bud. So what do I do with the thing? I mean, I know to put water in it, plug it in, ya da ya da ya da. Do I direct the spray at him, on him?

No, put it in his room out of his reach. Closing his door to "trap" the moisture in will help. Averie's crib is on the south wall of her room and I put the humidifier/vaporizer on her dresser on the east wall.

I know when Lily had all her congestion/lung stuff, the pediatrician specifically instructed us to use a cool mist one. I don't know if that was age or congestion-specific to be honest. You just put in the room and close the door, it will fill the room. i have used the humidifer with vicks stuff for Tyler in the past too, just on the dresser. It gets a little rainforest-y, but does the trick! I hope he clears up soon! :support:

We have a cool mister vaporizer and also a small Triaminic Vapor thingy. I will turn them on tonight. Thanks!

We have a humidifier and it does help but the room does get a little steamy. It's not a problem for us though because Ben's room is cool so we normally have a little space heater going. We just turned the heater off and let the humidifier heat the room.

They seem to do the trick. I had one in my room b/c I kept getting nosebleeds this pregancy, and the past week or so I've had it in Cohen's room since he's been sick. I definitely think it helped. And ditto, I just put it on the other side of the room from his crib.
