Aiden has started biting this week. :eyeroll:

I feel like he's trying to tell me something, especially since I know he feels like crap.

Yesterday, I was in the kitchen making lunch and Aiden came up, started hitting my legs, and then he bit me. Last time I checked, we didn't have a dog in the house.

Then, last night before bed, I was holding Aiden and he obviously got frustrated and bit the **** out of my shoulder. The little squirt even broke skin!

I yelled "NO!" really loud and DH tapped Aiden's hand. I'm not a fan of that, but I think it was DH's initial reaction. Aiden started bawling and then DH was all kissy kissy "I'm sorry buddy!" :hehe:

I'm not a fan of the toddler stage!

Ugh it only gets worse! :hugs: We went through it and thank goodness it didn't last very long. But what helped was one of the kids at the sitters slapped Eli right across the face and that was the end of that. Granted I am not a fan either of hitting but it seemed nip the problem in our case. And of course Dh's parents told us to bite him back! Give me a break!:eyeroll:
It will pass just I guess maybe pull him to back and face to face say no that hurt Mommy! Not nice... Then you will get shut up or no!!:hehe: That is what we are dealing with now! Got to love terrible 2s!

Addie just laughs if I show pain, so I'm no help. She pinched for like 2 days and then got over it. Now she smacks me and says "ba!" (bad). I don't know where she got it.

Connor bit me several times a day in the same spot from 17mths til he was nearly 3. It was an urge he seemed to not be able to control no matter how much we tried to redirect or pop his hand, etc. Id hold him back and he would have his mouth open and it would be opening and closing and he'd keep trying to get to me. It was like he was possessed literally.

I hope he snaps out of this phase quickly(thankfully my situation was not average and my other two never bit at all).

When I worked in a daycare we had the biters bite down on washrags we wet down with lemon juice. That curbed the behavior pretty well.

That is a very good idea!! I will have to remember that!

I would want to use that, but Addie actually asks for lemon when she sees it. Weirdo.

I know some women have had luck with pretending to cry when their toddlers bite, makes them try and comfort momma. But I know with Alice she wouldn't even get it :hehe:. She'd be like "what's that weird sound you're making?", because I suck at fake crying.

I've tried the fake crying and she just laughs. She's mean.

See, that was Connor.
If I did the fake cry he would laugh and try harder. If I did lemon juice or if I put tabasco on his tongue he wanted more.:hehe:

He's a pip!

Omg you girls are cracking me up!

For now I'll just shout "no!" at him. That seemed to work...well, it made him cry. :hehe:

Avery is a bit that way...he's very tender hearted so he gets hurt easily.

When he did something mean to me a couple weeks ago(think it was a pinch)I started the fake cry and he felt so bad he cried too.:p

:hehe: You girls are funny! We haven't had to deal with this yet (knock on wood), but I would probably just yell no real loud at him, too. When I pretend to cry, he thinks it's funny too.
