So Cash has a set of those foam letters in the tub and he knows all of them by sight and can say them all now. So I've started working on phonics and trying to teach him about what words start with which letters and vice versa. If he uses a word in the tub I will ask him if he knows what letter it starts with, or if he picks up a letter and says it, I will ask if he knows what that letter stands for.
Tonight when he first got in the water, he said "WARM!". The word for W in his fave alphabet book is "worm" so I thought maybe he'd put those 2 close sounding words together. I asked him "Do you know what WARM starts with?"
He thought about it and then said "HOT!"
He tickles me to pieces sometimes.
