Your first job

What was your first job? How did it become your first job? Tell us about it!

Besides babysitting? Running a printing/copy store when I was 15. I don't even remember how I came up to that job, but I DO remember that the owners took a vacation during the summer and left the store to me to work at full time for an entire week! I'm sure that was illegal, but hey, I was so glad they trusted me enough to run the store. Now that I think about it...I was paid in cash :blush:

My first legal job was as a front desk clerk in college. It was a suite hotel in my college town and I worked there for 3 years. I loved it. I had all sorts of perks and I could use the outdoor pool/spa anytime I wanted :nono: *sigh* The good ol' days of my college years. :bye: :lolcry:

I babysat a lot then I worked at a summer recreation program for a few years. Then after college got a teachign job where I still work.

My first job was picking strawberries and blueberries at a berry farm just outside of my hometown. I think I was about 14 at the time. After that was doing dishes and working banquets at a golf course during the summers through part of high school. I don't count the berry picking as "real" work because I'm pretty sure that I ate more berries than I picked... :blush: :P

Besides babysitting I worked at a pizza place called Donato's. I started working there when I was 15 and worked there until I was 18 and got married and moved to MS. When it opened in my town my Dad, Mom, Brother, Aunt & Uncle all worked there. By the time I worked there it was just my Mom, Aunt & Uncle. I loved working there!

Farah you never told me you could use the pool/spa... I would have been bugging you to go use it... lol

let's see... my first "real" job other then babysitting would probably be the office assistant job I had. I worked under my Aunt during the summer before my senior year. I loved it and even went back after I graduated high school. Even met Farah while I worked there..(the second time)

My first job was at a car dealership Honda/Acura. I think I was about 15 or 16. I was the greeter person....it was sooo boring. The boss was my mom's friends so that's how I got the job.

You know Heather I always thought that would be fun. I wanted to to that when I was younger and in school. But yeah lets say my parents weren't the type that wanted you to get a job...

My first job was working at this little driving range (golf) I sold the baskets of golf balls the guys used to practice with and then had to take the golf cart with a picker behind it to pick up all the balls. It was quiet and a good first job. I only made minimun wage though and it was 4.25 an hour.

My first job was babysitting.

Then I worked at some company and filed and faxed and made copies.

After that I worked at a school for almost 5 years.

After that I worked at other schools/daycares for a few months and then settled on a Nanny job for 4.5 years.

Now I'm a mommy :) :love:
