I'm glad I listened to.......who and what advice did you listen to that has been worthwhile? What was the one piece of advice you took that you wish you hadn't?

Um....I don't know. :hehe: I never really asked for advice. I also didn't do anything that someone said if I thought I'd regret it. :hehe:
I will say though, that my grandmother gave me AWESOME advice about marriage :hula: because of her, I am the awesome wife that I am. :hehe: :thumb: She knew what was up...she was married for 63 years before my grandfather passed.

Hmm...I suck at questions like this.
Honestly, I think the best advice I get in general is from my dad when there's something wrong with Addie. He remains calm for me and give me good advice. He worked as an orderly in an ER for a while, so he has a lot of good ideas. If I call and ask my mom for advice, she usually freaks out about whatever it is. :hehe:
Bad advice? Hmm...I dunno. I'll have to think about it.

The best advice I was given was by one of my DH's co-workers. Ben was maybe a week old and we took him in to see everyone and I had mentioned something about Ben sleeping for 4 or 5 hours at night and how much I hated waking him up. One of the dads there told me not to bother. I gave him the shpeel that the nurses at the hospital gave me about breast fed babies needing to eat often and he showed me a picture of his 2 kids, both who are happy and healthy and said he and his wife never woke them up and both were breast fed. Whether it's a fluke or not, we've now got a kid who loves to sleep and has since he was only a few weeks old.
Bad advice? Hmmm.... Can't think of anything off the top of my head. I probably just ignored it. :hehe:

Hmm, this is a good question.. I think the best advice I received was from a friend of mine who told me to be confident in my choices. Obviously I think my way is best, or I wouldn't do it that way- every mom feels that way. If we all remember to respect that about each other, it would make playgroups so much easier :hehe:
I've heard some bad advice, like give them cereal to sleep longer, but I usually ignore bad advice!
Good advice: Not sure where I heard it but hold cuddle and rock your child because one day you won't be able to!
Bad advice: mostly everything my mother says  (like give him some soda! Oh he's hungry! etc.)

LOL Give him some soda...
I remember my other gramma telling me Dylan was spoiled and I should tell her No just for the sake of saying No  LOL What a nut. Dylan was not spoiled, I just wasn't uptight.

I dont have any regrets about advice I didnt take.
I remember a friend saying to remember to breathe cuz you let life get going especially when you have more than one child and sometimes you forget to do that simple thing cuz of the hairiness of it all.
So thats been the best advice I got that I still use today.
