So I'm getting a job offer!!! :cheer: :cheer: :cheer:
The company does Aviation flight training and simulation. It's a government contractor...+! It's a part-time job w/ the possibility of becoming full-time. The lady who hired me told me that she was hired on as part-time back in September, and she was offerred fulltime just two weeks later. I'll be an Office Assistant, but that really entails multiple things. This company has only been open for a little over a year, and they only have 13 employees right now. They are projecting at least 500 employees over the next 5 years. I'll be handling HR and security, and probably even some accounting stuff. So I get to use my degree FINALLY!!!!! (HR)
Now, what's so cool about this company is one of the owners. His name is Mike Durant. He was a POW in Somalia back in 1993. He was the only survivor in a Black Hawk that went down. Sound familiar? It inspired the book and movie "Black Hawk Down". How crazy is that?! I met him today. He's well regarded, obviously, so his company has already had 80% growth since opening lastyear. They are already making a profit, which is unheard of during a recession. And I get to get in when the company is new and grow with it from the ground up! The lady said there are endless possibilities for her and me.
Can you tell I'm excited?! This is what I've been waiting for. I'm just praying that the offer is a good one! I'll let you girls know!! :clap: :clap:
